Family Services is a regional leader in programming that increases individual’s awareness and coping skills to reduce sexual violence, gun violence, and substance use. We oversee programs that reach the public in Dutchess, Ulster, Orange, and Westchester counties.
We provide and coordinate interpersonal violence prevention for students, businesses and community groups across Dutchess, Orange and Westchester Counties including the Mentors in Violence Prevention Program and the Safer Bars initiative.
In collaboration with community partners, Ulster Prevention Council works to prevent problematic substance use by providing community assessments, resources and education for youth, adults and community groups in Ulster County.
In collaboration with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, Family Services offers workshops to reduce gun violence and give youth the tools and support they need to say no to gang involvement.
