You are invited to our Purple Walk for Domestic Violence Awareness on October 29, a special event bringing together people from both Ulster and Dutchess Counties around a shared commitment to victims’ rights. It is a great opportunity for us to raise awareness about our own victim services and build new partnerships with public safety officials and nonprofits across the river.
Two groups will start at both the East and West (Poughkeepsie and Highland) approaches of the Walkway Over the Hudson at 3:15 PM and will meet in the center for a brief moment of solidarity with some words from our County Executives. Please wear purple, otherwise we will hand out some purple promotional materials for you to carry during your walk!
