POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (March 6th, 2014) On March 22rd, 2014 from 11am to 1pm, Family Services’ will host the 2nd Annual Spring Fitness Fling to celebrate the arrival of springtime. This will be a day of fitness and fun for the children of our community to get out of the house, out of the winter slump, and move!

The Spring Fitness Fling is a free event will include a variety of fitness activities set up around the Family Partnership Center gymnasium for the children to move through throughout the day. There will be healthy snacks and water provided, as well as information regarding health and fitness. At the end of the day prizes will be raffled off to the children that participated in the activities.

Spring is a time for waking up from the winter slumber and Family Services is committed to giving families a safe place to get out and get active. The Family Partnership Center is host to many programs and agencies in the community that offer services to people in need. However, this event recognizes that the building is not just a place for those in need of services, but a place that has a wealth of resources offered by our Partners to our community.  

This is a free event for children 12 years of age and under, and will be held from 11am to 1pm at the Family Partnership Center gym at 29 North Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie. The event will be held rain or shine. In order to ensure the safety of all attendees, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone entering the gym MUST wear sneakers.
