December 1, 2011 -  Family Services is pleased to announce that Brian P. Doyle has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Doyle is an accomplished human services executive whose expertise, vision and passion for serving individuals and families in need will enable Family Services to grow and play an even more vital role in our community.

Mr. Doyle previously served as the Associate Executive Director at Ulster – Greene ARC, and as Special Assistant to the Executive Director at ARC of Westchester. He has been active in numerous community organizations, and also served in elective office for four years as Member and Chair of the City of Poughkeepsie Common Council.

“Brian Doyle is an accomplished human services executive.” stated Sheila Appel, the chair of the Board of Directors. “His expertise, vision and passion for serving individuals and families in need will enable Family Services to grow and play an even more vital role in our community.”

Family Services has even greater potential for strengthening our community through meaningful programs, advocacy and collaboration.”

A long-time resident of the Hudson Valley, Mr. Doyle holds a Masters in Public Administration and Bachelor of English and Communications from Marist College. He currently serves as the President and Trustee of the Vassar Warner Home for the Aging.
