POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (October 19, 2013) On Thursday, October 31st 2013, Family Services’ will host its second annual trick-or-treating event to offer the community a safe place for families to bring their children on Halloween to trick-or-treat. Children and their families are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes and enjoy the festivities at the Family Partnership Center.  Those who attend will be able to go through the whole center collecting candy and other goodies from all of the different people and programs.  Bags to collect goodies will be provided.

And get a chance to hang out with John Flowers and grab a snack!

Trick-or-treating on Halloween is a long standing tradition, and Family Services recognizes how important traditions are to families.  The Family Partnership Center is the host to many programs and agencies in the community that offer services to people in need.  However, this event recognizes that the building is not just a place for those in need of services, but a place that has a wealth of resources to offer our community and its members.

The event will be held from 3pm to 5pm at the Family Partnership Center at 29 North Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie.  The event will be held rain or shine.  In order to ensure the safety of all attendees, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

For more information about the event, please contact Katherine Raynor at (845) 452-1110 ext. 3344.
