Flore eyes work with Family Partnership Center

POUGHKEEPSIE – Margaret LeFlore, Ph.D., of Poughkeepsie, has joined the board of directors of Family Services, Inc., Chief Executive Officer Brian Doyle announced.

LeFlore, who is employed as a consultant for several biotech firms, moved here two years ago from the Boston area where she was involved in numerous community activities. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and received her doctorate in physical and biological chemistry from Indiana University. Since moving to Poughkeepsie, she has served as head of the Poughkeepsie for Obama campaign and is a member of the Leadership Development Committee at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Poughkeepsie. Her husband, the Rev. Walter LeFlore, was named pastor of the Fellowship in 2011.I am honored to become a member of the board of directors for Family Services,” LeFlore said. “Since arriving in Poughkeepsie two years ago, I have come to appreciate the critical role that Family Services plays in the community, particularly through the Family Partnership Center.”

Doyle said he was pleased to welcome LeFlore to the Family Services team.

“While a relative newcomer to the Hudson Valley, Maggie has already been quite engaged in various community activities,” he said. “I appreciate her keen interest in becoming a fully involved member of the Board, and in particular, concentrating her efforts on the Family Partnership Center.”
