Each year, Family Services hosts our Report to the Community event, an opportunity for us to share with 250 of our Hudson Valley neighbors, how we are working to achieve our mission.  The event also provides the opportunity to highlight our successes of the past year as well as provide a glimpse into the year ahead.  This year our Report to the Community Luncheon will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel.

We are proud to feature a presentation by Dr. Stephen Bavolek, Ph.D, at this year’s Report to the Community Luncheon.  Dr. Bavolek is a recognized leader in the fields of child abuse and neglect treatment and prevention as well as parenting education.   Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Bavolek’s professional background includes working with children who have emotional disturbance, adolescents in schools and residential settings, and children who have been abused and their parents in treatment programs.  Dr. Bavolek is the principal author of the Nurturing Parenting Programs, family centered-programs designed to build nurturing parenting skills as an alternative to abusive and neglecting parenting and child rearing practices. For more information about Dr. Bavolek and the Nurturing Parent Program, please visit www.nurturingparenting.com.

Please contact Whitney Humphrey, Director of Development, with any questions.
